How to Know When Someone's Lying to You

Did you ever wonder if someone is lying to your right in your face? The following are a couple of small tips on what to focus on when you’d like to know if someone is being honest with you or not.

The face: If they are avoiding eye contact, if their facial expressions seems false (for example, they are smiling, but their eyes don’t suit the smile), if their eyes are wandering i.e. looking everywhere except at you, etc.

The actions: If they are touching or scratching their nose and/or ear, if they are positioning surrounding objects (coffee cups, books etc) directly between you and them, if they are using their arms as shield (crossed arms), if they are suddenly very relaxed when you change the subject, etc.

The words: If they are avoiding answering your questions, if they are not saying anything specific and/or they are mumbling, if they are answering your questions by using the same words contained in the question, etc.
